Whoops. We have been fed the wrong stats all this time! Yes, we just realized that we've been pulling wrong listener count. It seems as though our relaynet was only giving us the listener count of East Coast USA. We've corrected it to the true audited numbers at AOL/Shoutcast now. Now things seem about right. We were only displaying half the listeners for the past year! Whoops. Yay to technology.

We have setup a twitter account so please follow us there at http://www.twitter.com/netmusique. We also added a cool chat feature. All registered users can now write messages to our Twitter. Make sure you are registered to our forums and are logged in. If you type something in the chat, and it shows up in the color white then you are good. Then just type "/twitter your message here" and you'll see it on the chat and on our twitter page. Please, no spam! Have fun! :)

Our listener stats are currently stuck. We think Shoutcast changed something on their end. Until we have a chance to debug it, you can check the live stats directly from Shoutcast by clicking on the "Shoutcast" link in the right bottom corner of our site.

Hey, what do you know? We've been hard at work behind the scenes and got alot of the nagging problems solved. You might notice that the chat works like a proper chat now! We brought back the smilies too. Also, some new shows have been added to the mix. Electrique welcomes Red Circle Radio live from Toronto, Canada and Lab 152 Sessions direct from New York City. Some of the old school Netmusique DJs are all excited and revved up to start brand new weekly shows too. This week, we've seen the return of JP of Los Angeles, Mischfuehler from Germany, and Gene King of Toronto all performing special guest appearances on the station. And if that's not all, we brought the forums back! Who says we don't love you?

Our Live streaming server has been rebuild and is currently online and in beta test mode as we continue to fine-tune the performance of our servers. All live shows are back on the air.

We have moved into our new home and now operate 100% outside the United States. However, unfortunately, we are currently experiencing various network lags while in our new environment. You may experience some buffering over the next short while as we tune the performance of our servers so please bear with us. Also, current song information is only available directly from our website so please reference our site if you wish to know what is playing. We are also in the process of rebuilding our live server so all live shows are offline for the next several days when we can build and test our servers. Thanks for bearing with us while we move into our fresh new digs.

Netmusique is observing a day of silence in response to an impending royality rate increase that, if implemented, could lead to the virtual shutdown of internet radio in the US, NETMUSIQUE will be silent Tuesday, June 26, to draw attention to hostile copyright enforcement practices. In 2002, NETMUSIQUE participated in a similar protest shutdown and the result was a reversal of the then pending rate implementations and a 5 year cooling off period.

Please, if you are a US citizen, contact your US congress representative. Let them know that you do not support the CRB rate structure.
